 SVMGCC 1st Half 2012 Planning Session and Pot Luck
Saturday, January 14th

 

Lindsay and Jim Costigan will be hosting the the 1st Half 2012 Planning Session and Pot Luck on Saturday January 14th at their Lincoln home. The gathering starts at 2:00PM for chatting and munchies. The Planning Session will begin about 3:00PM, with dinner being served about 4:30PM. 

Members are encouraged to bring and present MG tour event suggestions. As always, this is your opportunity to decide what we will do with ourselves and our MGs for the first part of the year. If you have an idea for something that would be fun to do or a place we should visit, don't be shy - bring it up for discussion. Even if you've never organized or led an event, you'll not be left on your own to cope, as there's always someone willing to help. So, bring your ideas and let's see if we can come up with some new things to do.

Main Course: Lindsay will be providing Beef Stew

Members planning to attend should sign up,  call or e-mail our Events Chairman, Colleen Williams to sign up for Garlic Bread, salads, hors d'oevres or desserts. Water, soft drinks, tea and coffee will be supplied. Please bring your own beer, wine or whatever else you would like to drink.

Directions: RT = right LT = left


The scenic way: Take HW 80 towards Reno & exit @ Sierra College Blvd. Turn LT off the ramp going
back over freeway. Go about six miles to end & turn RT on 193. Go 1 mile, LT on Fowler. Go 2 miles
(it dead ends) LT on Fruitvale. Take 1st quick RT on Garden Bar. Go 2 miles (thru one 4-way stop
where it also dead ends). RT on MT Pleasant. Go 1/2 mile, LT on Burnett Rd. Go 1/3 mile & LT into
my driveway - 4149 Burnett Rd. Lincoln


Or you can go through Lincoln: Take 30 towards Reno & exit @ HW 65 towards Lincoln. Go thru Lincoln
& look for the huge Gladding McBean factory on RT (you can’t miss it). Just after factory turn
RT on Glading. Go to 1st stop & go RT on Wise. Go to 2nd stop & turn LT
on Garden Bar. It dead ends & turn RT on MT Pleasant . Go 1/2 mile, LT
on Burnett. Go 13 mile to my driveway on LT as stated above.


To Go Home: RT out my driveway; RT @ stop onto MT Pleasant. Take 1st
LT on Garden Bar. (For those who are going back thru Lincoln, turn RT on
Wise; LT on Gladding which takes you to HW 65 to HW 80) for those going
the scenic way, keep on Garden Bar to end, LT on Fruitvale, 1rst RT on
Fowler to end. RT on 193, LT on Sierra College to HW 80.
